Many continental European Armies, during the first half of the 20th Century issued their soldiers with a fatigue coat, made from cheap, easily laundered, material for use when soldiers were engaged in strenuous, dirty work. Similiar models are seen, particularly in Germay and eastern Europe, and are made from a variety of materials.
Our version of this is drawn from a period tailors manual, and combined with cosmetic features we’ve found studying extent examples. The result is a loose fitting, comfortable, garment that’s perfect for living history, and everyday wear.
